Menace was reading MSN Wonderwall (because he is in the entertainment industry) and he pointed out this story on celebrities that look like dogs to me.

The article said that the Olsen Twins resemble Japanese Chin! What do you think?

They do kind of have big eyes and they are very tiny. But I think I am better dressed!

The Hardest Working Dog in Show Business

Well, I have some good news, I am the second female runner up in the Mango Minster Hard Working Dogs category. Now as you recall, Menace entered the Cat Dog category earlier this week and did not place. That just goes to show you that I'm not just lucky, but rather talented. I hope this experience has shown Menace that acting and modeling is really hard work.

Unfortunately, Mommy sent in my embarrassing Lady Gaga photo and now tons more people have seen it. And to make matters worse, Mommy got a new cell bone and made that photo her wallpaper. Now she can easily share that photo with everyone. Menace has taken Mommy's old cell bone to run his agency with. Last time I checked Verizon did not accept payment in hairballs or can covers so good luck getting that to work buddy.

I would also like to congratulate the Bad Sport winner Tai Chi! Mommy's t-shirt shop Superbuddy Pets sponsored that category and will send TaiChi's mommy a gift certificate.

Menace Monday: The Chin Boss

Hi, Menace here.

First of all I would like to thank everyone for supporting me in Mango Minster. The cat results are in and I did not win or place. I thought it was going to be so easy; just throw on a duck hat and look at the camera. But winning contests is not as easy as Pumpkin makes it look. Maybe she has more talent than I give her credit for.

Now I have been working on building my Menace Management Agency as you know and I have found a great resource. There is a show on Animal Planet called "The Pit Boss" about Shorty Rossi. He runs a little people and pit bull talent agency that helps fund his pit bull rescue. What a helpful resource this show is for someone starting a talent agency!

Shorty runs into a lot of the issues i have. For example, in the last episode one of Shorty's employees Ronald was complaining about having to dress up as a lobster being boiled in a pot just one week after a gig as an Ooompa Looompa. He wants to do serious acting, but there are not a lot of serious roles for little people. Pumpkin has the same issue. She is tired of dressing up as Lady Gaga or a giant burrito. She wants a serious acting role too. Now Shorty must have figured something out, because I'm pretty sure I saw Ronald in an episode of Weeds. Pumpkin would be great on Weeds!

To make matters worse, Sake and Sumo just emailed me a link for a commercial on Animal Planet that stars a Japanese Chin who is not wearing any kind of silly costume. When Pumpkin sees this she is going to skin me! She was born for this role.

Well, normally I am the one entering contests but this time it is Menace who is competing! Menace has entered the "cat-dog" category at Mango Minster. I think it is good for Menace to experience the pressure of the limelight and the humiliation of a certain human's questionable wardrobe choices.

Anyways you can view all the contestant photos in the Mango Minster Cat Dog Preview.

Vote for Menace using the radio buttons on the left hand side of the Mango Minster web page. Oh and peeEss don't tell Menace that the Reader's Choice prize is donation to the charity of his choice. I think it will be good for Mr. Where's My 10% to learn a little about giving!

When it gets cold here in Chicago Pumpkin likes to wear clothes but I don't want to cover one inch of my handsome self.

I just learned that dogs can be as warm as 102.5 F, while people are only 98.6 F. So I have started lying on Pumpkin for warmth. Those few extra degrees are worth putting up with dog smell.

Well I have to hand it to my manager Menace as I am just a little bit more famous this morning. My photo is slide 9 of 50 in a Chicago Red Eye story about how dogs keep warm in the winter. Harry you will want to pay attention to this when you visit me for Growlentine's Day because I know you are not used to the cold.

Sake and Sumo asked me if I would like to be their talent agent. Of course my goal is to be a super agent like Entourage's Ari Gold, so I said YES! I am going to be the go-to agent for Japanese Chin. Now I knew that Pumpkin would be a little jealous, so I sent her to Krisers for some grooming and pampering. Since it is so cold in Chicago right now, Pumpkin had to ride over to Krisers in Mommy's coat.

She sure doesn't look happy with me. I may need to think of some ideas to cheer her up. That is all a part of working with talent.

It's Mango Minster 2010

Everyone in my household is excited about Mango Minster 2010. If you have not heard of Mango Minster, it is an online alternative to the snooty Westminster dog show hosted by none other than handsome Mango.

Mommy is excited because her store Superbuddy Pets is sponsoring the event. She is providing the 1st place prize for the Bad Sport category, which is being judged by my friend Ike.

Menace is excited because he is entering the Cat Dog category. It will be his first foray on to the other side of the camera. I can't wait until the competition because Mommy selected an especially embarrassing photo of him.

I am excited because I am entering the Hard Working Dog category. As you know, I won the Toy category last year. This year there is no toy category, which I think is good because I am a hard working actress and therapy dog, not a toy!

Menace Monday: Japanese Chin Friends on TV

Hello, Menace here.

Here is a picture of Pumpkin and I having an important business meeting. As you know I became her agent recently so I could get 10% of her kibbles. (My office is the POANG chair. Mom isn't even allowed to sit on it.)

Well Pumpkin found out that her Japanese Chin friends got to be on commercials for WCIU (a local Chicago TV station) and now she is bugging me to book her some commercials too. Maybe we can do this when Mommy is feeling better.

Pumpkin's new friends are Sake and Sumo, a pair of handsome Japanese Chins that also live in Chicago. They don't have a bloggy, at least not yet.

Even if you live outside of Chicago you can enjoy the commercials online and vote for Pumpkin's friends as "Top Dog of the Month." The videos start the same and at the end feature one dog and their favorite TV show.

Happy Holidays

Well I hope everyone is having a good holiday season.

We were very low key this year. As you may know, my mommy has been sick since September and she was afraid all the stress of flying home would delay her recovery even more. So it was just us for Christmas. But the good news is she is going to a special people vet who is an expert in asthma in early January so I am keeping my paws crossed that she will feel better soon.

Then Menace woke me up to alert me it was Christmas morning and time to open pressies. Note that Menace is not very respectful of my personal space.

Well it looks like my boyfriend Harry Pugalicious was my own special Santa this year. Look what a lovely present he sent me! There were 2 snowman cookies that had thick creamy frosting and you know I have a real sweet tooth. I made short work of those cookies!

Then Menace swooped in trying to get his 10%. Menace, you don't get 10% of presents from my boyfriends!

Mommy's family in Connecticut isn't celebrating Christmas until today the 26th. My Granpaw sent us a web cam so we can skype into the party. I can't wait to see my cousin Madrid and ask if she liked the present I picked out for her.

Eeewwww! Menace stop!

Well I am glad to report Pumpkin, in addition to her people school, has gone back to dog school for the winter. After losing the part in "2012" to some other Japanese Chin, she has decided to hone her acting skills. It is hard for Pumpkin to get acting roles because much like Megan Fox, she is so beautiful that people do not take her seriously as an actress. However with some more training and a part that requires Pumpkin dress extra frumpy, I think she could win an Academy Award.

Labradorks at the Dog Park

Mommy took me to the dog park on Saturday. I had the place to myself.

Well almost to myself. There were some Labradorks lurking about but I just ignored them.

Then the Labradorks insisted on playing bitey face right in front of me. Did they think they were going to impress me? I don't think so!

Honestly, does anyone know of a good dog park with a VIP section?

Menace Monday: Missed Opportunity

Well as you know, I am Pumpkin's acting and modeling agent. I am very disappointed because I missed a big opportunity for my client.

Pumpkin is a Japanese Chin and there are not a lot of roles for Chin in movies. I have mostly been sending her head shots to studios making alien movies because of her great big eyes. Anyways, turns out a Japanese Chin has a starring role in the Hollywood blockbuster 2012. And it is a sable Chin to boot! Check out this picture of the Chin in the movie.

I could have easily made $50 on this job and blown it on some high grade catnip. I will not mess up on the sequel.
